• To have a positive impact on healthcare in the country, we Influence debate on health and development at the national and regional levels through policy analysis, debate and advocacy.
• Broaden network’s capacity to undertake advocacy
• Catalyse the advocacy perspective of other groups of CMAI as advocacy is a component of all programmes of CMAI.
• Champion select policy and advocacy issues that are relevant for diverse stakeholders

With rapidly changing healthcare scenario in the country, and even more rapid socio-economic changes, new policies being put in place, new issues emerging, etc, policy advocacy is a very necessary part of efforts to build a just and healthy society.

The CMAI network has a significant presence in the health care scene across the country and represents church on issues related with health. This equips us to have an excellent overview of events and helps us to develop an analytical understanding of what needs to be done. CMAI must, therefore, continue to influence the debate on health and development, while also understanding the implications of policy issues.
